2.1 The History of Hofer d.o.o. (Hofer Ltd.)

The capitalization of the Hofer d.o.o. – Precision Tools was finished on 15 May 1998. Our company was started on 15 Sep 1991 with the founding of Hofer d.o.o. in the same line of work. The company’s seat is at 42c Repisce, Jastrebarsko.
The company’s roots go way back to 1984 with the founding of Brusionica specijalnih alata (precision grinding company). Back then it was the only grind shop of that kind in the wider region, and the biggest part of its production was diamond tools manufacturing and repair service for the then companies of Energoinvest, TAM, Mega, Rade Koncar, Elektrokovina, Domel, Iskra, Tlos, Jugoturbina and others. In 1993 Hofer d.o.o. opened the tools and spare parts wholesale business on the basis of a contract with Bakony spark plug company from Veszprem, Hungary. Since that collaboration outgrew its initial framework, we opened the General Motors – Opel spare parts retail store located at 1a Radnicka street in Zagreb.

2.2 Hofer d.o.o. Today

By investing into new machine tools and by introducing new technologies we would like to give our current and future customers the best service and technological support possible, and also to keep up with the latest developments in the machining of tempered steel, gray cast iron and aluminum alloys. The goal of Hofer d.o.o. is to expand export and marketing opportunities of our products in all neighbouring countries, especially in the Republic of Slovenia.

At Hofer d.o.o. we are aware that we can survive in the market only by providing a high quality products and services and by satisfying all customers’ needs and expectations. The key to our success lies in making our customers satisfied and that is why we are trying to understand the current and future needs and expectations of users of our products. We are aware that this is the only way we can fulfill customers’ expectations and retain them as satisfied business partners who will always come back to us.
The policy of our organization is always to deliver products in accordance with our customers’ demands. Our technical know how is available to our customers at all times. All our activities are led by intention to ensure high quality of our products and services, as well as of our entire operations.The goals of Hofer d.o.o. are putting the customer at the centre of all that we do, our business moves and our management’s decisions, the constant improving of all defined processes in the company, inclusion of all employees into improvement efforts and a personal responsibility for the quality of one’s work.
The quality of our products is the most important reason why our customers are coming back to us. That is why the quality is not just a technical term for the employees of Hofer d.o.o., it is a way of thinking and acting started and confirmed only by a satisfied customer.
